This Consent Form governs your voluntary participation in an interview conducted by Trooly, including the collection and use of information generated during the interview. It does not serve as our comprehensive Privacy Notice.

1. Purpose of the Interview

The purpose of this interview is to help us and the client commissioning this research better understand customer behaviors, preferences, and needs. The data you provide may be used for research analysis, product improvements, and training or enhancing automated systems, including AI models.

2. Confidentiality

During the interview you may be exposed to information about our client’s products, services, or research. You agree not to disclose, discuss, or share any such information with third parties without written permission from Trooly.

3. How the Interview Works

• This interview is AI-moderated, meaning automated tools — not a human moderator — guide the questions and capture your responses.
• Your camera, microphone, and, if applicable, your screen will be recorded.
• Participation is voluntary, and you may exit the interview at any time. Exiting early may result in incomplete data and affect eligibility for any incentive the recruiting platform offers.
• You must be at least 18 years old to participate.

By proceeding, you consent to audio, video, and screen recording as part of the interview.

4. Information We Collect

By participating, you understand and agree that the platform may collect and process:

1. Demographic information provided by the recruiting platform, including but not limited to:

• Gender
• Age
• Location
• Education level
• Occupation
• Household income range
• Language proficiency
• Other demographic attributes

2. Identity-related data generated during the interview, such as:

• Voice
• Image
• Video and facial features
• Physical gestures (as captured on camera)
• Device identifiers
• Other information captured through audio or video

3. Interview content data, including:

• Audio and video recordings
• Text and spoken responses
• Screen content (if applicable)
• Any on-screen content you choose to share
• Interaction behavior (e.g., pauses, repeats, navigation choices)

4. Technical information, such as:

• Device type
• Browser information
• IP address
• Usage logs (used for diagnostics and system improvement)

Some of the information captured in your audio, video, or screen recordings may qualify as "sensitive" information under certain privacy laws, such as your facial features, voice, or physical gestures. We collect this information solely to conduct the interview, share your interview materials with the commissioning client, and improve our services. By participating, you consent to our collection and use of this information for these purposes.

5. How Your Information Will Be Used

You understand and agree that your data may be used for:

1. Sharing identifiable data with the commissioning client

Your recorded interview (including audio, video, text, etc.) will be delivered in full to the commissioning client for research and analysis.

2. Internal Evaluation and Service Improvement

We may use your interview data (including identifiable data) to improve interview quality, evaluate automated moderation, and optimize data processing and analysis.

3. AI Training and Model Development (De-Identified Data Only)

After reasonable removal of direct identifiers, your data may be used to train, fine-tune, or evaluate automated systems, including AI models.

IMPORTANT:

Because AI training is irreversible, data already incorporated into model training cannot be removed or withdrawn; however, your original identifiable recordings may still be deleted upon request (see Section 6).

4. Use of De-Identified Clips for Public Purposes (Optional)

Fully de-identified excerpts of your interview may be used for:

• Website examples
• Market and research reports
• Case studies and product demonstrations
• Educational or training materials

All reasonable identifiers, including your name, facial features, and voice characteristics (if required), will be removed.

You may decline to allow such use without affecting your ability to participate. A clear acceptance option will be provided at the end of this form.

5. How Your Information May Be Shared

Your information may be shared with:

• The client commissioning this interview (identifiable audio, video, and text).
• Service providers supporting data storage, processing, annotation, or AI training.
• Public audiences; if you separately consent to the use of fully de-identified excerpts.

All third parties must comply with confidentiality and data protection obligations.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You may request:

Right to Access

You may request confirmation of whether we hold your identifiable data.

Deletion of Identifiable Data

You may request deletion of your original identifiable data, including audio, video, and text recordings. However, we cannot remove or delete:

• Information already incorporated into AI models (irreversible)
• Data already shared with the commissioning client.
• Data we are legally required to retain.

Withdrawal From Future Participation

You may decline future interview invitations at any time.

7. Data Security, Risks, Contact, and Consent

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data. However, no online system can guarantee absolute security.

Risks of Participation

Participation may involve minimal risks, including unintended disclosure of personal information during the interview, discomfort from being on camera, or interruptions caused by internet connectivity issues.

You may stop participating at any time.
